I tried this, and it worked.  The problem is just that it leaved your 
system in a messy state (that keeps getting messier up to the point that 
I reinstalled 64studio and went with Free's modules.

You have the 6150...  I have the 6200, and the modules I have installed 
are: 
nvidia-glx
nvidia-kernel-2.6.22-1-multimedia-amd64
nvidia-kernel-common

This should be the exact combination you need.

obviously these go with the 2.6.22 RT kernel in the testing repository.

This combination works quite well, and allows me to run the Beryl 
desktop when I have clients over.  I use the standard Gnome desktop for 
normal work, but the 3D desktop is just part of the smoke-and-mirrors 
that keeps the money happy...

3D is also used in the tuner app for instance, and does not work well 
without it.
