Any chance the hoontech is really an ice1712? If so it's the same
chip as used by the M-Audio Delta 1010 and 1010LT. There is a mixer
app named envy24control that works nicely with the Delta cards and
should work with any card with that chip. The chip has an internal
mixer that's fairly complicated; I had to raise the sliders on more
than one tab before I got a usable recording level.
