 Hi Daniel,

Ok, I had assumed that.

But , if i think about this as a linux realtime dummie ;-) :
> under 64studio i get 22 ms latency with full cpu power, under windows xp,
i have 5 ms latency @ 96 khz and also by using the cool n quiet feature with
the hoontech dsp 2000 c-port. Where is the primary systemadvantage opposite
direct x & win xp in using of linux (without any consideration of this great
concept)? I mean: Get im smaller or zero latency anywhere ?

Greetings

Steffen

Hi Steffen,

?

You can enable BIOS features to alter fan speeds dynamically, and CPU
frequency scaling also works.

The only problem with frequency scaling is that it kills your realtime audio
performance, causing xruns in Jack when the CPU speed drops. It's fine to
enable frequency scaling if you're working on some graphics, or using a
laptop for general internet tasks.

Cheers!

Daniel
