Hi Free :-)
add lenny-backports main
I went for using synaptic without touching apt-get at all.
I hit the libpam0g error, and wine errors as before.
I had to revert to a terminal, which completed ok.
No Problems with qsynth.
libpam0g errors with synaptic method only.
