 I think I missed it, please would you point me to this report from
 Takabuntu?

 I'm afraid to say that the 2.1 is likely to stick again to kernel 2.6.21,
 because it seems that the latest NVIDIA drivers (which are the only ones
 that compiles cleanly against 2.6.23) need a very recent version of Xorg,
 which is available only in sid/lenny, and that would be very painful to
 backport.
