Hi Daniel,

I never thought of this message as a problem, but have always seen it 
when starting up gedit through the terminal, logged in a root. 
libnet-dbus-perl was already installed as part of the 64studio install.

libnet-dbus-perl is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 8 not upgraded.
64studio:/home/frans# gedit

(gedit:5179): GnomeUI-WARNING **: While connecting to session manager:
Authentication Rejected, reason : None of the authentication protocols 
specified are supported and host-based authentication failed.
