Hi Tim,

If you're looking for some recycled hardware, try posting a message to
your local group listed on http://www.freecycle.org/

e.g. http://www.freecycle.org/group/United%20Kingdom/South%20West/

There are thousands of members in Somerset alone. You have to be
approved by the moderator before you can view messages or post.

I personally wouldn't bother with a Pentium II now, but in the UK there
are plenty of free Pentium III class machines available in the
500MHz-1GHz range, which can accept 384MB RAM or more. You might be
lucky and get something newer, or a dual PIII server maybe.

Nobody wants CRT monitors now either, but Sony made some high-end
Trinitron models with 21" and widescreen 24" tubes, like the GDM-W900,
which are worth looking out for - they are excellent for video playback.
They do weigh about 45Kg though :-)

Cheers!

Daniel
