[64studio-devel] HP nc6320 laptop boot and USB problem

Hi, I hope I am not in the wrong place.

I've installed 64studio version 1 on this laptop. Installation appeared
to go ok
but I think the machine fails to find the hard disk and after a long
delay (2
minutes -ish) boots to a minimal system in memory. To get a dmesg I
will either have to type it by hand or solve another problem which is
that network and USB devices are not recognised. I've at least put
part of my dmesg below - hand typed so may have errors.

I tried modprobe with each of the sata_*.ko modules and got output
similar the dmesg output.

I'm fairly new to Linux but am used to FreeBSD so I can do unix, I just
don't know Linux specific commands or ways of doing things.

So I would appreciate a bit of guidance on getting the machine booting
or getting a USB pen drive working but I don't know which to work on first.

Thanks very much for any help

Chris
