Something like the "easyubuntu" script and gui would be very nice - 
there's "automatix" as well but that rarely works. I imagine there are many 
more people like myself who work in a mixed media environment who need to 
access media produced on a variety of systems in a wide range of formats, or 
even just access their own earlier work. I'm relatively well set up, and only 
occasionally have to borrow my daughter's macbook - but a growing number of 
non-technical friends are moving to 64studio from Windows, having played with 
my installation, and this is a stumbling block for them.
