Hi Quentin,
I did a complete reinstall, easier than compiling a new kernel on a
brand new system. Using 1.3.0.
Think I got the right kernel this time:
$ uname -a
Linux 64studio 2.6.19-1-multimedia-amd64 #2 SMP PREEMPT Sun Apr 29
13:56:49 UTC 2007 x86_64 GNU/Linux
When I tried the first install, using the 1.0 image, the k8 kernel was
the only one that would install. Unfortunately, I wiped the drive, so I
don't have the log. Sorry:(
Some good news. I put my SATA cd/dvd drive back in, and there was no
trouble recognizing it.
Take care,
-Susan
