Hi Wayne.  It seems ntfs-3g needs a FUSE enabled kernel to be able to 
function (needs a fuse module)

Perhaps Free can let us know if this is enabled...
If it is, you can search on the debian packages page (you have a 
shortcut in your browser on the default install), to see which debian 
repositories you need to add to be able to install the driver.

Perhaps you can try this in the mean time... I have friends that still 
cannot break the bonds with MS, and has lots of samples hidden on NTFS 
drives!
