That's definitely possible with Debian-based distributions, but I have 
to say we haven't tested floppy drives with 64 Studio very much - except 
when we were working on a project which required backwards compatibility 
with 1980's MIDI samplers and the like. We don't even have floppy drives 
in our test workstations.

Please open a terminal and type:

gfloppy

This should bring up a GUI tool for working with floppies.

To work with MS-DOS files you should install the mtools package. Use 
Synaptic to get this package from Debian (Desktop -> Administration -> 
Synaptic on the Gnome menu). You will need to add a Debian repository to 
your system if you haven't done so already; instructions for this are in 
the FAQ on the website.
