I am trying to use 64studio to develop a good working system for older
(therefore no 64bit) PC's for use in music classrooms in UK
I have instaled 64studio 1.0.0 on three different machines with success.
It wou ld help if we could read and format floppies in msdos format and
Fat32 Partitions at least during transfer from Windows to Linux.
Any help would be appreciated, but I think it would be great foe this to
be part of the distribution as it develops (Mandriva 2006 free does it
so it must be possible.
cheers

If you install kfloppy from the debian repository
ftp://ftp.uk.debian.org/debian testing main
everything is then fine for floppies - mount read and format MSDOS format
NB. still haven't solved the mounting and reading of FAT32 partitions
but will search the same repository to see if there is a utility available
cheers to all
