hello again :-)

I installed the 2.6.19 64Studio kernel.
( by the way, doesn anyone know why debian isn't releasing theirs ? ? ?
so much troubles ?)

I just wonder if I installed the nvidia things properly, because now I
can only boot 1 time on 5 or 10 times.
I can boot in deed, but most of the times, it just freezes as soon as it
tries to show the Nvidia Logo.
Impossible to switch to a console to kill start-x or whatever.
I think I could uninstall kdm to start back X until it is Ok... but I am
not such a barbarian :-)

this is the script I run after I installed each new debian kernel to
have my nvidia working :
Have I done things right ?

    apt-get install nvidia-kernel-common module-assistant
    m-a -i prepare
    m-a a-i -i -t -f nvidia-kernel
    depmod -a
    apt-get install nvidia-glx nvidia-glx-dev xserver-xorg

I have gone back to vesa "drivers"... but they are really really really
really slow...
and i can't get use of my twin monitors.

Yours,

Blue I-64
