Hi Dick,

thanks a lot for the report. There is also a new package for alsa
1.0.14 in the testing repository:

apt-get install alsa-modules-2.6.21-1-multimedia-486

would you test that as well? If the problem persist we can report the
bug upstream (kernel/alsa/jack), confirming that it happens with
bleeding edge releases.
