Why do you think this is a firewire issue?
This looks the same as the errors I get booting with a wi-fi dongle in
under the 2.6.21 kernel. Have you tried booting with the USB devices
removed (methodically) or indeed booting with the "irqpoll" option?
Either way, this looks like the same kernel bug to me. Workarounds anyone?
