Here is a screenshot of the quirk I found in the single band parametric:

If the frequency slider on the plugin is dragged close to zero, the bass 
end of the spectrum goes non-linear in a spectacular fashion :-)

I'd be interested to know if you can reproduce this on your Mandriva 
box, in case it's a 64 Studio or amd64 specific behaviour. Is your 
Mandriva install amd64?
