Hi Tim,
The issue was that out of the box, 64studio seemed to associate them with
gedit or give some very odd error message.
I'm not too fussed what opens them - but out of the box timidity isn't
installed, so Rosegarden seemed to be the best suggestion for default
open-with. I do use it for playback, but only because there is nothing else
:)
I agree that by default it should be opened by a player rather than an
editor.
