Correctly ... it should associate them with timidity as you would use 
rosegarden to edit them, rather than just play them. No?

WADR are you not complaining that it isn't doing what you want it to, 
which is also valid. Sorry for being slightly pedantic, it's the same as 
images opening in Image Viewer on double-click, you wouldn't want Gimp 
to open images unless you want to edit them.

I'll have a look at this later, perhaps I will understand what you mean 
better then.
