 When our packaged version of jack-rack 1.4.4 is started there is no MIDI
 port for it visible in Jack Control, and right-clicking on the controls
 brings up no menu for the MIDI assignments.

 My best guess is that something was missing during the compilation of the
 Debian package which meant the MIDI features were not built. I have mailed
 the current upstream maintainer of jack-rack to ask about this. In the
 meantime, a later 1.4.5 release is available.
