Hi Tim,

Quentin has provided detailed instructions for Nero which are now item
17 on http://www.64studio.com/faq_user

If users have a DVD-ROM but no writer, they could buy a DVD-R version
from an online Linux store or ask a friend to burn one.

If they don't have a DVD drive of any kind, then a DVD writer is a
highly recommended upgrade. A bare DVD writer from NEC now costs about
£18 brand new, and they work great. It's now cheaper to get a writer and
burn your own DVD than it is to get a roll of Super 8 film bought and
processed :-)

The biggest drawback to providing DVD images is that people with an old
laptop will have to get an external USB DVD burner, but even these only
cost around £40 now. If that's not possible, they could install 1.0 from
CD and use the 64studio-upgrade script to get 2.0. If they have a lot of
machines to install or upgrade, they could mirror apt.64studio.com on
their LAN.

Longer term, we could offer 1GB USB stick as an install method, but not
all machines can boot from these, especially the older ones.

Cheers!

Daniel
