[64studio-devel] Blank screen on boot

Hi, back again with the next problem.

I installed version 1.0 on a AMD 64 X2 machine with a single SATA hard 
drive.
The motherboard is an Abit NF-M2 micro ATX board with the nvidia 
6150/NF430 chipset.
I am using (or trying to use) the on-board video.

The installer ran without warnings, and the grub menu appears after the 
hard drive boot.
A few lines of text go by, then a blank screen appears. If I boot again 
from the install CD and abort the installation at the first opportunity 
(which seems to be the point where you select partitions), I can then 
through the menu run a shell. Mounting the hard drive, it appears that 
most of the logs are empty (the size of syslog is zero, for example).

Any suggestions on where to start looking would be helpful .
