If the XRUNs aren't going up, that's good news :-)

Please try closing all your audio applications, starting jack, then 
start Hydrogen, load a demo pattern, and see if sound comes out of your 
interface.

If not, please click the Messages button in Jack Control, and paste the 
output into an email to this list. You should see something like:

loading driver ..
apparent rate = 48000
creating alsa driver ... hw:0,0|-|128|3|48000|0|0|nomon|swmeter|-|32bit
control device hw:0
configuring for 48000Hz, period = 128 frames, buffer = 3 periods
