 I think Fluxbox Mindows manager could be a good alternative to gnome for a
 dedicated audio production platform, as it was the case in Agnula/Demudi.
 Fluxbox is very customisable, fast and use less memory than gnome.

 I tried to install the Debian testing version of fluxbox with apt but I
 had some troubles with display stability (dual head graphic card Geforce
 128Mb / nvidia driver). My system works very well with Gnome 2.14 provided
 in 64Studio 1.0.
