Hello,
I´d like to second this too. I tried to get familiar with Linux since
Debian Potato but never really got into it until DeMuDi arrived. DeMuDi
was the first OSS System which became my desktop. 64studio and DeMuDi
are like a kind of dream to me: having old (very cheap buyed or
repaired) synths and never enough money to buy expensive audio software
or hardware, making music was very complicated (I usually programmed my
synths via sysex using a PC1600 :-)).
Today I have more money but not much spare time - so it would not be
worth to invest money. To use 64studio, I just needed another partition
on my hd, some weekends to get used to the distro, and some time to get
deeper into the amazing world of Debian GNU/Linux. The only thing that
bugs me is that I can not convert my cubase lite tracks to rosengarden
(disadvantage of closed source software and propietary formats) and that
there is no SMDI-Software to communicate to Peavy sampler.
64studio studio developers: your distro brought a lot of fun. Thank you
for such a great project and thanks for DeMuDi too!
