That sounds like a sample rate problem. If your target is to burn
directly to an audio CD then you should record in Audacity at 44.1KHz
rather than 48KHz, or any other sample rate. There is a case for
recording at 88.2KHz and downsampling to 44.1KHz, but I doubt you'd hear
any benefit for this kind of job.

The German one, or the American one? I've had a look in the German one
but couldn't find the reference, so if you could let me know which issue
it was, I'd appreciate it.
