[64studio-devel] Relation between 64studio and debian repositories?

Hello,

First: thanks for this great distribution!

(I've tried several audio linuxes, and I think 64 Studio will be the one 
I keep)

I have two questions:

- About the relation between 64 Studio and Debian: I've added the debian 
testing repository, and now there is *many* packages updates available. 
Is it always safe update to a debian version, or should I keep the 
64studio ones, and only use the debian repository to add things that are 
missing?

- I'd like to compile some additional software (e.g. aldrin, dino, 
qtractor... I'm not a big fan of rosegarden...), will the libjack-dev 
issue be adressed soon? Or is there any other solution to compile audio 
software?
