Michael - I'm not running as root ... I know.
My bigger concerns are based on having kernel activity interrupt audio
processing.
Without taking a lot of list space to discuss 'real time processing' stuff,
would it make sense to keep system processes at a minimum? That
was more what I was thinking about: I believe the kernel shouldn't be
bothered with tasks that aren't 100% audio related.
