[64studio-devel] An error in Audacity

Hmm, that looks horrible.

This sort of thing is usually caused by not having a suitable font 
available with the appropriate characters. Audacity appears to be using 
a font that only represents the most basic latin character set. I assume 
other applications render the additional letters required for Swedish 
properly? I'm inclined to say that it's a problem with Audacity and 
probably ought to be brought to their attention, however there may be 
things you can do as a user to work around the problem, like install 
additional fonts, or get gtk to use a different font (GNOME menu: System 
-> Preferences -> Font). You can check out which fonts are likely to 
play nicely by looking in Accessories -> Character Map.

Oddly enough the bits you have problems with are not the parts that get 
translated by choosing the Svenska option in the preferences dialog you 
have shown here. All those parts display in English for me, but that is 
probably because I don't have the Swedish locale installed. (Some 
entries _are_ in Swedish).

I don't understand the process of translation / transliteration well 
enough to suggest more. Let us know how you get on.
