 I have an additional issue regarding custom menus in that I think it
 should be easier for users to further edit their GNOME menus. To this end
 I suggest using alacarte as the default Gnome menu editor as the standard-
 issue menu editor does not allow enabling the Debian menu and lacks other
 useful features.

 I don't particularly like Totem and would prefer to have a choice of media
 players. So I'd like to see Gnome-CD re-instated. I don't have a problem
 with any of the other suggestions so long as it is made easy for the user
 to reconfigure their menus. This may require a new ticket. (?)

 I realise that much can be achieved by manipulating .desktop files, but
 not all users will want to get their hands dirty with this sort of thing.
