In our 2.6.21 config it says:

# CONFIG_SK98LIN is not set

but in 2.6.19 it was built as a module.

Instead, we have:

CONFIG_SKGE=m

The skge driver is supposed to be a better replacement for sk98lin, with 
explicit support for the SysKonnect SK-9871 cards.

Does the lsmod command show that you have skge loaded? If not, please 
try (as root):

# modprobe skge

and let us know if that works or not.
