Is this just with the motherboard's on-board ports, or with the USB 
expansion card as well?

I'm inclined to think it may be RT patch related then. We should take 
this upstream to the kernel guys if we can't find a fix ourselves.

Certainly, it works OK with my systems. Try resetting the BIOS to 
defaults, and/or disabling the on-board USB ports, just using the 
expansion card.
