I only use flac-files. Haven't tried any other format, yet. On my 
machine the error occurs also with short samples, but it's better heard 
when you take a drumloop (2 seconds is quiet enough)! If you take just a 
single hit percussion, it sounds very loud or even distorted and if you 
listen closely, you hear, that the sample is played several times. At 
least on my machine.
