Hello

with my AMD Turion laptop I got 64 Studio in the 64bit mode and Nvidia 
drivers from the Nvidia site, running fine and fast. They are not from 
the repo and tend to break when something Xorg related is updated but a 
small reinstall and you are ready to go again. Symptoms of breakage are 
either no Xserver at all (the most obvious) or Nvidia logo comes up and 
Xserver running fine but crashes when something 3D related happens, even 
GLXinfo which just asked for some data. But as I said, all is logical 
and fine, 64 Studio is a great and currently my favorite distribution.

Cpuscaling need to be configured, its not there out of the box, but I 
never botherd to do so.
