Hello Christian-

I believe Free has a package in the system for the nvidia binary
drivers, but it is an older 8xxx version (last I checked).  That may
work fine for you and is pretty simple to install:

If you need the latest and greatest, I wrote a quick "how to" on getting
the latest nvidia 3d drivers going in 64studio:

You can ignore the libxine fix step since that has been corrected, and
you would use 64studio 1.2.0 rather than the 1.1.1 repos.
