 I've tested both fmit and lingot. The fmit package seems more up-to-date,
 while the lingot one is a release behind, furthermore fmit seems to have
 been developed since longer (which doesn't always imply better quality,
 but..) and it supports JACK. I've tried them with a classical guitar, they
 both seem to do their job. Personally I prefer the GUI from lingot, but
 having JACK support is probably more important.
