 That's interesting, it would mean that we could possibly close this bug
 without switching to a kernel later than 2.6.19.

 Both 2.6.20 and 2.6.21-rc6 won't boot correctly with the rt patch applied.
 I've reported the problem to the linux-rt-users mailing list

 but did not get any reply yet. Unfortunately even making an updated ISO
 with 2.6.19 plus a sync with etch it's problematic, as some recent changes
 in etch have break our 2.6.19 kernel, which won't boot anymore on a plain
 etch. Since a couple of days I'm investigating the issue but I couldn't
 get to the cause yet.
