The Deltas are all good, but I've heard the Audiophile 192 isn't as good 
as the older 24/96 PCI model (which is quite cheap now). I doubt anyone 
doing serious 192KHz recording work would want to use a budget semi-pro 
  card, so there's nothing to lose by buying the older model.

You'd have to A/B them yourself to decide that :-)

I'd look at the Delta 1010 (the full version, not just the LT card) 
because the price has come down by about 30-40% recently. I think it's 
well worth the extra money to get the A/D and D/A converters in an 
external box, just because of electrical noise. Beyond that, I think the 
RME cards are the next logical step, but there's a big jump in price.
