Do you mean that you have had some stability problems? The 64-bit and 
32-bit versions are running with pretty much identical stability here - 
I don't think I've seen a hard crash this year, with either version.

I don't think you will find these packages in any official Debian 
repository, due to licensing problems.

Synaptic will only show the packages for the architecture you are 
running, so for example you will not see the wine package on AMD64.
