Check the ALSA lists and bug tracker for some possibilities for getting
onboard sound working.  "hda-intel" is almost meaningless for debugging
- you must debug based on your codec.

Intel really made a mess with the HDA design - it's way too flexible,
and requires too much hardware knowledge in the driver, to the point
that each laptop/mobo must be debugged separately.

It's almost as if there was an intent to make things as hard as possible
for Linux users, without closing the drivers...
