Well, at  the moment  that  makes no difference   at all, because  our
current installer is configured to fetch packages only from the CD-ROM
and not from an online  repository, and personally  I'd keep the think
like  this, to avoid   possible  installation problems  connected with
network   unavailability  or similar  thinks.

The idea  is that the installer should  be as robust as possibile, one
can  fine  tune the system  after  the install.   For example we could
suggest users that have a  networked installation to check for package
updates after the  install, or even  include the APT update applet  of
gnome

to do that automatically when possible.
