Hi,

I've had problems with my onboard soundcard. It's disabled in the system
bios but debian insists on loading the drivers for it. I was able to
keep it from loading in debian64 etch by adding via82_cxxx and
snd_via82xx to /etc/discover.d/linux-sound-base_noOSS but this doesn't
seem to work in 64studio.

On the initial boot I get this:

a at 64studio:~$ cat /dev/sndstat
Sound Driver:3.8.1a-980706 (ALSA v1.0.13 emulation code)
Kernel: Linux 64studio 2.6.18-2-multimedia-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Nov
10 15:42 :09 UTC 2006 x86_64
Config options: 0

Installed drivers:
Type 10: ALSA emulation

Card config:
M-Audio USB Uno MIDI Interface at usb-0000:00:10.1-2, full speed
VIA 8237 with AD1980 at 0x1000, irq 3
M Audio Delta 44 at 0xc400, irq 11

Audio devices:
1: VIA 8237 (DUPLEX)
2: ICE1712 multi (DUPLEX)

Synth devices: NOT ENABLED IN CONFIG

Midi devices:
0: USB Uno MIDI Interface

Timers:
7: system timer

Mixers:
0: USB Mixer
1: Analog Devices AD1980
2: ICE1712 - multitrac

After a reboot with no changes made, the audio drivers change places:

a at 64studio:~$ cat /dev/sndstat
Sound Driver:3.8.1a-980706 (ALSA v1.0.13 emulation code)
Kernel: Linux 64studio 2.6.18-2-multimedia-amd64 #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Nov

With the delta 44 in first place it looks like it should work but trying
to start jack I get this:

Things just keep switching around, if I run alsaconf, my midi goes away.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Arthur
