[64studio-devel] unable to boot 0.9.5 on dual opteron machine.

0.9.4 works fine.  the problem is definitely in the kernel, because I 
can install the kernel packages into 0.9.4 and it won't boot from that 
kernel.  Personally I'm very interested in the 2.6.18 kernel so I'd 
rather find a working configuration than roll back to 2.6.17.

I may have some time later this week to build a few kernels and try to 
narrow the problem down.  But I'm not very experienced at that.
