Since a few days there's a new kernel  source package in, Debian which
include  the 2.6.18.2 patch plus some  other  fixes as well. I've just
issued the compilation, again packages will be available at:

http://people.64studio.com/~free/src/64studio/linux-2.6/

(version 2.6.18-5)

If this new build doesn't work too, then we have probably a regression
somewhere and I'll try to compile a plain 2.6.18  to be really sure of
that and possibly report the problem upstream.
