I really understand what's wrong with me. At line 6 I can only read

this  happens with 2.6.18 vanilla. Please  would paste me the contents
of  the relevant menuconfig  page? And if possible  send me the config
you've come too..

Does  this mean that you didn't  apply the  preempt patch? Moreover if
you started with  the last config-2.6.18-1-multimedia, then SMP should
be enabled. I'm getting confused..
