Jamin uses a lot of CPU whenever it is running, whether you are playing 
audio through it or not. The reported CPU usage figure can also be 
unreliable at low buffer sizes, according to the Jamin developers.

Does the CPU usage figure reported in Jack Control match that reported 
by the top command? If you hit the '1' key while running top, it should 
show usage on individual CPUs, so I guess that would work for dual-core 
systems too.
