Mine is only a 32bits Core Duo. 
To me performance are quite good, 16 minutes to compile a full option
vanilla RT kernel. But I haven't an equivalent AMD64X2 to compare to.

Core duo laptop still have problems with the RT patch, full real time
preempt kernel doesn't boot in SMP mode. Since 2.6.18 things are a
little better, SMP works with desktop preempt. 
Jackd and other realtime apps doesn't seem to run as smoothly than on my
old dual Athlon box. The cpu load is higher and pretty unstable.
But it's not a core 2 duo and I have no experience with AMDX2...

If I had known this before, I hadn't go with Intel...
