that  is  generated by the   d-i after a fresh    install of 64 Studio
(e.g. 0.8.1)  on your test machine? I  need  that to better understand
how the d-i chooses the kernel..

Yeah, cooling  it's a hot subject (;).  Maybe there's  somebody on the
LAD/LAU lists that could give us advice on the topic..
